The Best Reusable Makeup Remover Pads on Amazon | 2020 Review
The Top Line: Its a BUY!
We’ve tried various reusable makeup remover rounds over the years, and have always inevitably switched back to the disposable cotton rounds. This time we tried the top three options on Amazon, and finally found the ones that stuck — these charcoal bamboo based reusable makeup remover pads by Blooming Bee on Amazon.

Blooming Bee: $14.95 for 12 ct. of charcoal bamboo reusable makeup remover pads, with 1 laundry bag (+ a free box of biodegradeable cotton swabs 100ct)
Sweet Dolphin: $9.99 for 20 ct. of organic bamboo rounds with carrying case
Face Halo: $22.00 for 3 ct. of black microfiber reusable makeup remover pads
How ‘Clean’ Is This? Zero-waste as you can wash and re-use. We typically use anywhere from 2-3 cotton rounds a day, this equates to 912+ cotton rounds a year that get’s thrown out in the trash! The laundry bag is especially helpful to throw in the wash.
Packaging: Both in 100% recycled paper packaging.

What you get for the $$:
Blooming Bee: 12 ct of rounds, which should be enough but some folks may want to buy another set to have enough to have some in the wash. The laundry bag that comes with it is a great addition!
Sweet Dolphin: 20 ct of rounds is very generous, especially given the low cost. The accompanying carrying case for it is nice enough to keep on a vanity, but not something we might have picked on our own.
Face Halo: 3 ct of rounds is too few, we would need to purchase 4 sets to have at least 12 rounds on hand. And at $22 per set, that starts to get exorbitant.
Quality & Design of the Pads:
Blooming Bee: We like the quality! Thicker and softer than normal cotton rounds, and felt sturdy enough to withstand many washings. We especially like the charcoal grey, which would withstand washings and hide any stains well.
Sweet Dolphin: Quality definitely a bit lacking here. While they are fine to use, they are thinner, and look as they might not last as long as the other two we tried.
Face Halo: Great quality (it better be at $22 for 3 ct!), thick microfiber quality. We particularly liked the sleek black color, but worry that after a few washings it won’t show so well.

Comparison
We assume that the average user will use 3 rounds a day or 1,095 rounds a year — costing them $28.11 on an annual basis: Cliganic Premium Cotton Rounds: $28.110 Total Annual Cost.
All three options, assuming they all last at least a year, would be more cost effective than disposable cotton options on the market — though Face Halo would require us to purchase more sets as we would not want to have to wash the rounds every day.
What We Liked:
✔ Machine washable and reusable
✔ Darker colors better for its intended use of removing makeup
✔ Ability to replace disposable cotton rounds
What We Didn’t Like:
✗ Very little, we were happy with our Blooming Bee purchase
✗ Face Halo was a bit too pricey at $22 for 3 ct
✗ Sweet Dolphin, while generous is providing a 20 ct, was not at a high enough quality level
Our Recommendation:
We recommend the Blooming Bee brand, for its value and quality!
