Biokleen Oxy Bleach Remover Review 2024| Eco-friendly plastic-free stain remover
Biokleen Oxygen Bleach Remover: We’ve been using this stain remover for 3 months. Here is our review.
The Top Line: Not a buy. While we like that Biokleen’s Oxygen Bleach Remover works and has simple ingredients, and very reasonable cost per load, we don’t love the plastic packaging and scoop — especially when the product doesn’t really require it. There are other options out there at similar price-point and much more eco-friendly packaging, such as Aspen Clean’s Oxygen Bleach.
The Breakdown:
Cost & Products: $18.95 for 32oz
How ‘Clean’ Is This? Simple, clean ingredients.
Packaging: Comes in a plastic container, with a plastic scoop inside.
Purchasing & Shipping: We purchased on Amazon.
Good to know: You can use on whites and colors!
What’s Your Impact? The ingredients are simple and clean — no worries about what you are flushing down the drain. But the packaging is unfortunately still plastic.
The Experience
Context: We have been trialing Biokleen’s Oxygen Bleach Remover with our whites for the last 3 months :
This is a powder and comes in a plastic container
It can be easy to over-use but it does come with a little scoop (that is unfortunately plastic)
No scents or fragrances
Our whites seemed to stay white and bright with this booster!
The Cost
We compared Biokleen OxyBleach Plus with other options from Aspen Clean, Puracy, Meliora, Shout, Tide, and Oxiclean.
Money Report: The price per oz is very reasonable compared to the other options.
The Good:
✔ No phosphates, chlorine, ammonia, artificial colors or fragrances
✔ Certified “Safer Choice” by EPA
✔ Works well and very reasonable price point
The Bad:
✗ Plastic container and scoop — when it really isn’t necessary
Our Recommendation: Not a buy. While we like that the product works and has simple ingredients, and very reasonable cost per load, we don’t love the plastic packaging and scoop — especially when the product doesn’t really require it. There are other options out there at similar price-point and much more eco-friendly packaging, such as Aspen Clean’s Oxygen Bleach.
